We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we’ll post a new version on our website with a new Effective Date. Your continued use of Echo after any changes means you accept those changes. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you must stop using Echo.

 

2. Eligibility

2.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Echo as a consumer. If you are under 18, you may only use Echo with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.

2.2 Residency

Echo’s consumer offering is intended for users in the United Kingdom. If you choose to use Echo from outside the UK, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

Echo provides AI-powered meeting assistance, including meeting summaries, scheduling, reminders, and other related features (the “Services”). 3.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive to ensure Echo’s AI features (e.g., transcription, summarisation) are accurate and reliable, we do not guarantee error-free results. You acknowledge that AI-generated outputs may contain inaccuracies.

3.3 Service Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without notice. We are not liable if any such changes affect your use of Echo. 

 

4. Creating and Managing Your Account

4.1 Account Creation

You may need to create an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information during registration and to keep your account information current.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, you must promptly notify us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where suspicious activity is detected.

When you use Echo to integrate third-party services (e.g., Google Calendar or Zoom), we act as a Data Processor. This means that we process the personal data provided by you or your organisation only as instructed by you to provide the service. 5.3 Consent for Integrations

If you integrate Echo with third-party services (e.g., Google Calendar), you grant us permission to access relevant data (such as calendar events) so we can provide our Services. You retain control over the data shared with Echo, and we process this data on your behalf when acting as a Data Processor.

5.4 AI Processing

6. Use of the Services

6.1 Lawful Use

You agree to use Echo only for lawful personal purposes. You will not use Echo to harass, defraud, or violate any applicable laws or regulations.

6.2 Prohibited Activities

You will not:

●       Reverse-engineer or otherwise tamper with the Echo platform.

●       Attempt to circumvent security features or gain unauthorised access to our systems.

●      Use Echo to send spam, phishing emails, or other fraudulent communications.

●       Upload any content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.

 

7. Fees and Payment

7.1 Subscription Plans

Echo may offer free features and paid subscription plans. If you choose a paid plan, you agree to pay the fees displayed at checkout or in your account settings. Fees are subject to change, but we will notify you in advance if we alter subscription pricing.

7.2 Trials and Promotions

We may offer free trials or promotional pricing. At the end of such trial or promotion, standard fees may apply unless you cancel.

7.3 Cancellation and Refunds

●       Cooling-Off Period: If you are a UK consumer and you purchase a subscription online, you may have the right to cancel within 14 days from the start of your subscription. However, if you choose to start using Echo immediately, you acknowledge your right to cancel may be affected.

●       How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. If you cancel after the cooling-off period, you may not receive a refund for the current billing cycle unless stated otherwise.

●       Statutory Rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

 

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

All content, software, trademarks, service marks, and logos provided by Echo are owned or licensed by Echo. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to access and use Echo solely for your personal use in accordance with these Terms.

You retain any intellectual property rights you already hold in content you submit to Echo (e.g., calendar events, meeting notes). By using Echo, you grant Echo a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the Services.

 

9. Consumer Rights and Statutory Guarantees

9.1 Your Consumer Rights

As a consumer, you have certain statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other laws that cannot be excluded by contract. These include the right to receive services that are supplied with reasonable care and skill.

10. Liability and Disclaimer

10.1 No Exclusion of Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for breach of your statutory rights.

10.2 Exclusion of Indirect Loss

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages (such as loss of data, loss of opportunity, or loss of income) arising from your use of Echo.

10.3 Service Availability

We strive to keep Echo operational, but we do not guarantee continuous, error-free availability. Maintenance, updates, or technical issues may interrupt service from time to time.

 

11. Termination

11.1 Your Right to Terminate

You may stop using Echo at any time. If you wish to close your account, follow the instructions in your account settings or contact us.

11.2 Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity. We will notify you in advance where possible.

11.3 Effect of Termination

Upon account closure, your right to access Echo ends immediately. We may delete or anonymise your data, unless we are required by law to retain it.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue Echo or any part of it at any time. Where such changes may significantly affect your use of Echo, we will try to give you reasonable notice.

 

13. Disputes and Governing Law

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13.2 Alternative Dispute Resolution

If you remain unhappy following our attempts to resolve a dispute, you may be entitled to refer the dispute to an alternative dispute resolution provider or lodge a complaint via the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform if you reside in the EU.
